Heritage Memorial Gardens is a Perpetual Care Cemetery.  This serene and beautiful facility features 87 acres of softly rolling hills at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As an independent facility owned and operated by the Sandifer family, Heritage Memorial Gardens provides for families in the community. 

Heritage Memorial Gardens was established in 1997 by Sandy & Peggy Sandifer and their son Trey. The business was started because of the need for a family owned, independent cemetery where the money stays in the county. The site for the cemetery was chosen because it is centrally located at 4500 South Hwy 11 Westminster, SC. Heritage Memorial Gardens has many options to offer families, burial spaces, mausoleum entombment, cremation niches, bronze and granite memorials and a scattering garden.

Mausoleum Services

A mausoleum is a large building that provides above ground entombment for human remains.  A mausoleum crypt space is one space for the placement of one casketed remains.

When you purchase mausoleum crypt space entombment, you are purchasing "entombment rights," meaning the right to designate who may be entombed in the space.  Arrangements can be made for a single mausoleum crypt or a companion unit that is designed for two casketed remains.

Granite crypt fronts are designed for single or companion crypts.  An inscription on the crypt front includes the name of the deceased and birth and death dates.  You may also place a vase or personalized religious feature on the crypt front.

Cremation Niches

If you are considering cremation, it is important to understand what is involved and what your choices are.  If you are considering placing the cremated remains in our mausoleum, the cost will consist of the urn, niche, type of memorialization and entombment fee.  If you are considering placing the cremated remains in the ground, the cost will consist of the urn, urn vault, interment space, type of memorialzation and interment fee.

Scattering Garden

Cremated remains may be scattered over land or water.  We can advise you of any laws prohibiting scattering in our community.  If scattering is chosen, you may wish to memorialize your loved one by placing his or her name on a plaque at a special location in the cemetery.  Heritage Memorial Gardens also offers families a scattering garden as an option if you so choose.

Memorial Installations

One of our many services here at Heritage Memorial Gardens is outside memorial installations.  If you have a loved one that is not in our cemetery, we can still provide you with a new memorial of your choice and we will be glad to go and install it for you.  Here are some examples of  Memorials we did for someone outside of our cemetery.
