The Cremation Society of the Carolinas is located in Raleigh, NC.  It was founded by Larry E. Parker as Triangle Cremation Services, Inc. in 1974. Back then, cremation was still only performed for a tiny minority of families, so Triangle Cremation Services served an area from Wilmington to the Virginia border and west to the mountains. In the early 1990s the company name was changed to the "Cremation Society of the Carolinas" to more closely reflect its customer base.
